We are so sorry to hear of Sr. Mary Therese death. It must be very difficult time for all of you with two funerals so close together. You will all be in our prayers.

Dear Sister Mirriam,Yesterday I received the Winter edition of the Monastery Bells, together with your kind note dated 14th February 2012. In it you told me about Sr. Mary Therese being bedridden, but able to understand everything spoken and occasionally also saying a word in response. Now I read that the Lord has taken her home to receive the eternal reward for her faithfulness to her religious vows. As former bishop of the Diocese of Bethlehem, I shall be forever grateful to her for the service she and Sr. Mary of the Holy Trinity rendered to the Spanish foundresses of the Cloistered Dominican foundation in Senekal. Although coming from a rather different cultural background, they blended in so unbelievably well with the community there and assisted them in their endeavour to feel gradually comfortable with speaking what they jokingly called \”Spinglish\”. May they both rest in peace, and I look forward to meeting them again \”on the other side\”. I am sure they keep a weak spot in their hearts even now for Senekal, while turning their major attention to supporting your community at Lufkin with their prayer of intercession.Kindest regards to you and the whole community at Lufkin!Fraternally yours in the Lord and his Blessed Mother,+ Hubert Bucher
