This year’s Columbus day celebrations included drives in our new golf carts, fun with bubbles, and lots of games.

We began the day by pledging alegiance to the flag and singing some patriotic songs.

Then some of the nuns piled into our golf carts for a drive around our grounds. Thanks to the Knight of Columbus, we now have a huge new golf cart that can hold seven of us at once, so a lot of us can go together.

We recently received a lot of large bubble wands as gifts, and Columbus Day was the perfect day to go outside and have bubble fun.

It was such a nice, breezy day that we could just hold our wands out and the wind made the bubbles for us!

After a morning outdoors, it was time to come inside for some good food and table games.

Sr. Maria Cabrini, Sr. Mary Dominic, and Sr. Mary Jeremiah play Rummikub.

Sr. Mary Rose, Sr. Mary Therese, Sr. Mary Christine, and Sr. Marie Augustine play Yeti in My Spaghetti.

Sr. Mary Christine manages to remove a spaghetti strand without dropping the Yeti!

As usual, we had a wonderful Columbus Day. We give thanks to God and to our country.
